Jason -
I've met you a few times, and I'd like to say thanks for the music, and for always being a pleasure to talk to (especially at that Brooklyn show where it took like 6 hours before you guys got on stage, hehe). I could sit and ask you questions all day, but I've only got 2 simple ones:
1> If your name could be remembered as a verb, what would you want it to mean?
2> Have you ever heard of an artists named Jason Webley? If not, check him out.
All the best, ~Erich

I'll be honest, I hope Jason is taking a small break. I know he's touring and all, but Id like to see a little more time between now and a new album. I mean, in just the past 5 years, we've seen:
(2003-03-04) The Magnolia Electric Co (2004-01-20) Pyramid Electric Co (2005-01-18) Trials & Errors (2005-04-05) What Comes After The Blues (2005-10-11) Hard To Love A Man (2006-08-22) Let Me Go, Let Me Go, Let Me Go ... (2007-08-07) Black Ram (2007-08-07) Nashville Moon (2007-08-07) Shohola (2007-08-07) Sun Session
and thats not including some of the other stuff he's done, like the soundtrack work, and the sc100 CD. thats 7 studio albums, 2 EPs, and 1 live album all within 4 years time. As much as i love the man, Id love to see him with a little rest before cranking out another album.
... just my opinion :)

very cool find! and yes, a very striking album. Its title pretty much says everything you need to know; the album is very ghostly and haunting, yet at the same time beautiful.

General Category / General Discussion / What's rarer: Wingnut Flexi vs Howler 3"

In the past... year an a half I think? Ive been collecting all the OOP 7" and CDs, and Ive got most of them, including the Wingnut Flexi... but Ive never seen Howler show up on ebay. Wingnut Ive seen twice, and the others Ive seen a bunch of times...
Is Howler that hard to come by? It seems pretty elusive.

my opinion, if you can buy it, then i wouldnt put it up here on the board. I happen to have it, actually (the cd, not the lp, which im considering purchasing on ebay), so i wouldnt mind if you pmed it to me just to see.
but if i remember correctly, the MP3 on pry's site was pretty lo-fi; i think Neighbors sounds almost too polished, but id still like to see if youve got something different than what i have.
whos the guy that runs pry?

General Category / General Discussion / Protection Spells - "Untitled Bonus Track"

the pry.com entry for protection spells has an untitled bonus track listed at the end of it:
01. Trouble Will Find You (5:30) 02. The Moon Undoes It All (5:48) 03. Darkness That Strong (4:16) 04. Keep Only One Of Us Free (5:12) 05. The World At The End Of The World (5:41) 06. Fire On The Shore (5:26) 07. Mighty Like Love, Mighty Like Sorrow (4:07) 08. The One Red Star (5:17) 09. Whenever I Have Done A Thing In Flames (7:05) 10. Untitled Bonus Track (2:16)
its no longer there for download. but this is the only place ive heard this track... it wasnt on the emusic release of PS, nor is it on the cd i just got from SC. Can anyone shed any light on this track? is it a first pressing PS track only? was it not even there?
thank you kindly. :)
